Acura Sets All-Time April Sales Record
Fueled by strong sales of the MDX luxury sport utility vehicle and the all-new RSX sports coupe, Acura posted record April sales of 14,203, a 6.4 percent increase compared to the previous record of 12,815 set last year, Acura announced May 1. MDX sales of 3,486 shattered the previous record of 2,852 set in April of 2001. Year-to-date MDX sales rose to 16,357, up 13.4 percent compared to last year. Continued strong demand for the RSX pushed April sales to 2,906, the third highest total since the RSX replaced the Acura Integra in July of 2001. Acura also enjoyed strong demand for its 3.5 RL luxury sedan. The RL sold 825 units, up 20.9 percent compared to last year.
