Volvo's Mobile App Option Replaces Car Keys

Volvo Cars plans to become the first car manufacturer to offer vehicles without keys in 2017. This digital key technology can allow customers to unlock and lock doors and start the engine from their smartphone. Physical keys will continue to be offered if preferred.
