The Knapheide Manufacturing Co.’s aluminum gooseneck flatbed body, which debuted at the Work Truck Show, is corrosion-resistant and lightweight, but it’s strong enough to enable maximum payload and towing capacity.
The Knapheide PGNB Aluminum Gooseneck Body features an aerospace technology assembly utilizing military-grade aluminum extrusions. As a result, the body is structurally superior yet 40% lighter than steel. The body includes a gooseneck hitch system that’s rated at 30,000 pounds.
The aluminum construction provides better protection against corrosion, according to the company.
Knapheide also provides aluminum side boards to keep chains, rope, tools, and other objects from sliding off the gooseneck body.

Ranger Design’s heavy duty floor liners, which debuted at the Work Truck Show, offer a custom-fit rigid floor liner for nearly every type of service van.
The liners are designed to provide added safety and a quieter ride. These impact- and puncture-resistant floors give vans a professional look, according to the company.
Ranger Design’s integrated aluminum mounting tracks are installed flush with the van’s floor, making it easy to install Ranger Design shelving, equipment, and accessories.
Additional benefits of these flooring products include:
• Safety: Anti-slip surface and aluminum sills reduce potential injuries
• No thermal expansion: No buckling or distortion
• Vehicle protection: Protect your vehicle and prevent damage to the factory floor
• Custom fit: Place floor liners and then bolt down
• Easy handling: Each piece can be handled during installation by one person

GEN-Y Introduces Torsion Suspension Hitch

Introduced at the Work Truck Show, GEN-Y Hitch’s frame-mounted, bolt-on torsion suspension hitch deals with the up and down of towing as well as the forward inertia.
The Torsion Suspension Hitch is taking the inertia out between truck and trailer by up to 90%, which greatly decreases wear and tear on a vehicle and trailer, according to the company.
It also improves ride quality and decreases driver fatigue.
“We want to be constantly innovating so we can continue to solve industry problems and bring GEN-Y customers the best products they have ever seen, each and every time,” said Carl Borkholder, founder of GEN-Y. “We know that there are other hitches on the market, but we want it to be more than just another hitch.”

BOLT Provides One-Key Lock Technology

BOLT’s one-key lock technology is designed to permanently program a lock to the specific vehicle’s ignition key. Created by STRATTEC, a manufacturer of automotive locks and keys, the locks were on exhibit at the Work Truck Show.
The first time the key is rotated, the cylinder is coded to only that key, according to the company.
Any number of BOLT locks can be set to open with same vehicle key. Therefore, it eliminates the need to have extra keys or to remember a combination. Lock styles include GM tailgate handle, Jeep hood lock, cable lock, toolbox latch, lock cylinder, coupler pin lock, a padlock 2.0, and 5/8” and 1/2” receiver lock.
This year, BOLT introduced its off-vehicle coupler lock. This secures a trailer when not attached to a tow vehicle.
The locks are designed to work with a variety of vehicles and keys. BOLT’s website includes a vehicle match to find the lock for your specific key.
