Audi Q5 Focuses on Safety & Security
The 2009 Audi Q5 crossover SUV offers a smooth ride, while providing drivers a number of safety features for added protection.

2009 Audi Q5
Earning a 2009 Top Safety Pick recognition by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) and five-star ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in front- and side-impact crash testing, the 2009 Audi Q5 makes safety a top priority.
Safety a Sure Thing
Like all Audi models sold in the U.S., the Q5 has standard four-wheel disc brakes with anti-lock braking system (ABS), an electronic stability program, daytime running lights (DRL), and a standard tire pressure monitoring system - features designed to help reduce the chances of a collision.
Several other noteworthy features also focus on safety:
● Bluetooth mode cannot be set up if the vehicle is already in motion.
● Radio volume automatically muted when backing up.
● Fuel door cannot be opened if car is locked.
Luxury, Performance Not Far Behind
Though safety is at the top of the list for the Q5, luxury and performance follow closely - making the Q5 ideal for fleet executives and sales staff.
With a signature luxury feel resembling other Audi model interiors, the five-passenger Q5 also offers a large instrument panel display for easy visibility of the odometer and speedometer, as well as other information displays.
The Q5 comes with one of three equipment groups: Premium, Premium Plus, or Prestige. Adding to the Premium Plus package, the third-generation MMI (Multi Media Interface) Navigation package provides a built-in hard-drive navigation system with real-time traffic updates, voice control, rearview camera, and the MMI electronics interface. Updates to the maps will be available for download through Sirius.
Every 2009 Audi Q5 has a 6-speed automatic transmission and features standard Quattro all-wheel drive and a 3.2L V-6 engine that produces 270 hp and 243 ft.-lbs. of torque. Achieving 18 city/23 highway mpg, a 2.0T engine configuration will be available in early 2010 for increased fuel economy. Once in operation, the Q5 can travel an estimated 0-60 mph in 6.7 seconds. Towing capacity for the Q5 is considered best-in-class.
While the Q5 is based on the current Audi A4 platform, the SUV provides the roomy and comfortable cabin feel of a smaller-sized Q7, making it a compact alternative to the Q7.
Available now for fleet ordering, Audi offers a national fleet incentive on the 2009-MY Q5.
