Aerial work platform manufacturer JLG will host two workshops at the 2018 National Voluntary Protection Programs Participants’ Association (VPPPA) Symposium in Nashville, Tenn., from Aug. 28-31. The workshops will cover industry trends, training, and various levels of safety standards.

Brent Hoover, director of product safety and reliability, will give a presentation on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and American National Standards Institute (ANSI). This includes an overview of each organization, what regulations fall under each, and how these regulations are enforced. It will also cover ANSI’s new standards for machine design, safe use, and training.

Randy Marzicola, director of business development, will give a presentation on low-level access lifts, how companies are using them as an alternative to ladders, and upcoming trends related to these lifts.

The National VPPPA Symposium brings together safety and health experts from more than 400 industries to create safe work environments. The three-day event includes 100 workshops and 300 exhibitors.
