Diesel Laptops, a commercial truck diesel diagnostic software and hardware company, launched a line of Remote Programming Kits. These rental kits are a first in the commercial truck and off highway industry, according to the company, and are offered exclusively through Diesel Laptops.
Remote Programming Kits are the perfect solution for fleet managers, shop owners, and mechanics who need quick, one-time solutions to atypical situations. For example, a shop owner that mostly works on Cummins Engines, but is faced with an Isuzu injector that needs to be programmed. Previously that shop owner would either buy expensive software for a one-time use or simply turn business away. With the release of Remote Programming Kits, they can now rent a kit and let a Diesel Laptop’s certified technician remote access the machine and perform the necessary services. This is a win-win for the shop owner, keeping costs low and customers happy and back on the road quickly.
Currently there are six Remote Programming Kits available (Cummins, International, Isuzu, Mack and Volvo, CAT, and John Deere) with additional kits planned for release in the future.
