Altec Industries Inc., announced the addition of two new standard features to its DB37 backyard digger derrick, effective July 15, 2013. The DB37 will now come standard with dedicated feeder tubes for the hydraulic digger, as well as hydraulic tilting pole guides.

The feeder tubes provide a dedicated line to the digger and pole guides, so the hoses do not need to be disconnected when the digger is not in use. The hydraulic tilting pole guides are already standard on all other Altec derricks.

The DB37 is a digger derrick mounted on a track carrier for easy access to small backyard jobs. It is designed with the same safety and control features as other Altec derricks and has an extensive list of standard features. When fully equipped with digger and pole guide, the DB37 has a capacity of 3,800 lbs. and a pole setting sheave height of 36.7 ft., which easily sets 50’ Class 1 poles. The tracks are retractable, making it easy to maneuver through a 36” gate or small backyard space. The DB37 is rated to drive on slopes of up to 10 degrees side-to-side and 15 degrees front-to-back.
