Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions announced an expansion of a product line.

It has expanded its digital overlaminate (DOL) product line with the launch of the advanced DOL Max Series— DOL 1060 Max and DOL 1360 Max — along with DOL 6470, a new PVC free luster finish overlaminate.

Overlaminate films are an important addition for any digitally printable graphic. These pressure-sensitive films provide durability and longevity of printed vinyl, especially in exterior applications such as fleet graphics, vehicle wraps, and marine and outdoor signage.

Overlaminates protect the graphic from environmental conditions including harsh weather, UV exposure, chemicals, and abrasion. They also can add a special finish (such as a gloss or sparkle) that enhances the overall color “pop” of the graphic.

“What makes the new DOL Max films so innovative is the improved vertical and horizontal protection they offer,” said Alex Fox, Product Manager, Graphics Digital & Signage, Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions.

“Horizontally applied graphics are more vulnerable to environmental conditions and generally will not last as long as vertically applied graphics. Our new DOL Max films are engineered to protect vertical and vulnerable horizontal applications.”

DOL Max Films Breakdown

DOL 1060 Max is a gloss finish film with durability and outdoor performance. It comes with up to seven years of vertical durability and up to two-year horizontal durability.

DOL 1360 Max is an optically clear film with a smooth finish and UV, temperature, humidity, and salt-spray resistance. It also comes with up to seven-year vertical durability and up to twos of year horizontal durability.

Compatibility with the vinyl material is another important consideration in the selection of an overlaminate.

The new DOL Max films are engineered specifically for use with Avery Dennison’s MPI 1105 Supercast film.

This is an ideal pairing for a vehicle, fleet, and outdoor graphic applications. In addition to the DOL Max series, Avery Dennison is expanding its DOL 6000 series of specialty DOLs and its PVC-free product line by adding DOL 6470.

This luster finish film is a high-performance PVC-free film developed specifically for extended durability in both vertical and horizontal applications.

This film offers exceptional value for applications requiring abrasion resistance, color durability, and conformability to irregular substrates in a PVC-free construction.
