Mack Trucks brought major updates to Work Truck Week 2026 with a closer look at the all-new Granite and Mack MD. In this walkaround, Alex Lee, senior product manager for vocational and medium-duty at Mack Trucks, highlights the latest changes in design, performance, comfort, and safety.
The updated Granite features a redesigned cab that is 10% larger and wider at the shoulders, giving drivers more room and comfort on the job. Mack also introduced its EPA 2027-certified MP13 engine, rated at up to 540 horsepower and 1,950 lb.-ft. of torque, along with available Mack automated manual and Allison transmission options.
Safety is another major focus. The Granite now offers Mack Protect with 270 degrees of radar coverage, including front, passenger-side, and left-side radar designed for vocational applications. The Mack MD also gets Mack Protect, adding radar and camera technology to improve visibility and driver awareness in medium-duty operations.
