ShurTrax introduces its new Max Pack traction weights. These weights are bags that can be filled with water to add weight to a vehicle and improve traction control. ShurTrax traction weight products are available in three sizes to accommodate a range of vehicle types, from compact to full-size pickups and other vehicles.
The company said these weights offer ride, handling, and leveling improvements. They are also used for transporting water for industrial, and commercial purposes, including use for agriculture; off-road traction; and controlling axle or wheel hop. Although ShurTrax is used for storage and transportation of water, it is not approved for drinking water (water is not potable), the company stated.
Each ShurTrax pack consists of two layers of material. The inner layer is a smooth, water-resistant material that provides a high-quality seal when molded together using RF (Radio Frequency) equipment, the company said. The outer layer is a tough rot, mildew, and tear-resistant material. This outer material consists of a woven nylon mesh through two layers of vinyl. The material is also rated to withstand outdoor temperatures as low as -40 degrees Fahrenheit (actual degrees, not wind- chill).
Accessories for the packs include a "Siphon Pump" to aid in draining, a "Perfect Fitting" for ease of filling a ShurTrax pack, and “Straps” to assist in strapping a ShurTrax product in place.
