Pace Edwards offers its retractable utility bed cover, which is designed specifically for service body applications. The company said it fits most 8-ft. and 9-ft. models, is made of black interlocked, powder-coated aluminum panels, and is fully secure even when the tailgate is unlocked. The cover comes in two models, a manual and an electric model.

The electric model features an electromagnetic brake to lock the cover in place, a drive system release mechanism that allows a user to open it during a power failure, a silicone weather hinge that provides a tight seal between panels, and an operating switch that can be located in the cab, an exterior locking compartment or both.

The manual cover features a heavy-duty spring that helps retract the cover smoothly; a built-in pull strap that engages the latch at 12-in. intervals; a mechanical weather hinge that provides a tight seal between aluminum panels; and an independent latch and lock handle system offset to the driver’s side.
