Rydeen Mobile Electronics is now shipping the latest product in its Advanced Vehicle Technology series, the PVR5D motion sensing dash cam.
The PVR5D has all the functionality of typical dash cams with one significant addition -- Motion Sensing. According to the company, motion sensing enables continual monitoring of the vehicle even when parked unattended.
If the PVR5D detects an object or person within a specified range it will begin recording for a duration of one, two, or three minutes. Users may select resolution up to 1080P with recorded output archived in .mov file format for playback on a PC. The included 8GB microSD card enables more than two hours of recording at 720P and can easily be increased with the use of cards up to 32GB.
The PVR5D also features a 1.5-inch LCD screen for playback of recordings and real-time viewing through a wide angle camera lens. GPS is available with the addition of an optional GPS antenna from Rydeen.
The PVR5D has an MSRP of $299 and is shipping now in the U.S. and Canada.
