Knaack LLC and WEATHER GUARD Truck Equipment announce re-designed Hi-Side Truck Boxes. New features of the Hi-Side product line deliver improved security, durability, and organizational solutions for construction, municipal, and field service professionals that require frequent and easy access to valuable tools and equipment, while keeping the truck bed open for supplies.
One of the most important new features on the new Hi-Sides is a WEATHER GUARD exclusive gutter design that channels rain and snow off the box to keep its contents dry. Along with the full-weather seal, this new gutter design vastly improves weather resistance, according to the manufacturer. In addition, new security enhancements include a new Drill-Resistant Lock Core, which further protects against theft and vandalism. An Attachment Point has been added to the rear of each box to secure or lock down tools and supplies in the truck bed. Hi-Side organization is improved with the addition of a top-mounted, Removable Parts Bin, to keep small parts such as fasteners and components organized inside the box. And productivity is enhanced with adjustable Tool-Less Quick-Release doors that open from 90 to 180 degrees for unrestricted access to tools and equipment. Heavy-duty stainless steel aircraft-type cables quickly and easily unhook with QuickClips with no tools required. This feature is especially helpful to contractors stretching to reach up into their Hi-Sides boxes on taller, heavy-duty vehicles.
Existing features of WEATHER GUARD Hi-Side Truck boxes include a heavy-duty three-point latching system for theft resistance, large stainless steel D-Handles for easy opening, and extra-wide picture frame opening for easy access of larger tools and supplies. Additionally, Hi-Sides feature quick installation with adjustable leg mounting, customizable mounting points to maximize bed space. Further, All Hi-Sides are constructed of heavy-duty steel or diamond plate aluminum, with ARMOR TUF powder coat paint in either Brite White (steel only), Black or Clear (aluminum only). All WEATHER GUARD Hi-Sides are backed by an exclusive limited lifetime warranty.
Hi-Sides are available in a variety of sizes to fit most truck makes and models, from 45-1/2" to 96-1/4" in length, and 5.6 to 11.8 cubic feet of capacity. Larger Super-Sides add 2" in height and 3" in depth, and 7.7 to 15.2 cubic feet of capacity. A Steel Jumbo Super-Side is available with 24" height and a whopping 21.4 cubic feet of capacity. Hi-Sides can fit almost any configuration imaginable with quick installation via adjustable leg mounts. Accessories include an adjustable shelf and a parts cabinet.
