Penray’s Fuel Prep Biocide is designed to kill microbial growth in diesel fuel that's caused by water accumulation in diesel fuel storage and transport tanks.
Penray’s Biocide requires a single-dose and stops 90 percent of microbial growth activity in about six hours. By ridding a tank of microbial growth, it protects the components of a fuel storage system from corrosion. It also prevents the formation of microbial growth that can plug fuel filters and interfere with fueling efficiency.
During summer months, microbial growth in the tank can feed on hydrocarbons in the fuel producing waste products that turn into sludge, acids and other harmful by-products. Treating fuel in bulk storage can prevent future problems in vehicles.
Penray’s Biocide is packaged in pints or gallons that can treat 1,250 gallons or 10,000 gallons respectively. The Fuel Prep Biocide is also effective in various blends of biofuels.
