Tracer Products’ TP-9364 Pro-Alert IR Electronic Refrigerant Leak Detector uses an infrared sensor to detect refrigerant leaks in commercial vehicles.
The TP-9364 is certified to meet both SAE J2791 and J2913 standards and can accurately detect refrigerant leaks down to 0.1 ounces per year. A three-position sensitivity switch minimizes false triggering and allows for easy diagnosis of leaks.
The unit is sensitive to R-12, R-134a, R-1234yf and other refrigerants. The Pro-Alert IR’s infrared senseor is designed to deliver consistent response throughout its life, according to Tracer. Sensor life is at least 1,000 hours.
Additionally, it will not become contaminated by exposure to large amounts of refrigerant. The unit’s high-efficiency air sampling pump is designed for quick responses and clearing. A rubber-coated flexible metal probe slides into tight places and holds its position. An audible alarm and multiple LEDs are used to indicate leaks.
The Pro-Alert IR is powered by a rechargeable battery which provides over six hours of use between charges. On-board diagnostics indicate charging status and alert the user to a low battery condition or infrared sensor failure. The unit can also be used with an AC power adapter and a 12-volt DC power adapter with a cigarette lighter plug. The AC adapter is available in 120-, 230-, 240-, and 100-volt versions.
