Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America, Inc. (MFTA) has announced that new FUSO 2012 model Canter FE Series medium-duty commercial trucks began arriving from Japan at ports in Baltimore, Jacksonville, Fla., San Diego, and Tacoma, Wash., in April. So far, the company has received more than 850 vehicles to date with more vehicles scheduled to arrive in the coming weeks.
Todd Bloom, MFTA president and CEO, noted, "We're pleased that we have the first deliveries of our new Canter FE Series commercial trucks on the ground in U.S. ports, and have been able to start moving them to our
dealer network, as we've had exceptionally high interest from our dealers and customers since we introduced the new line in March. The new Canter truck is designed to provide demonstrably lower cost of ownership versus other trucks in these classes. We're also pleased to report Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corp., our Japanese parent company, continues to ramp up production after the earthquake and tsunami in Japan."
