Attendees had the opportunity to “squeal the tires” of VW’s latest product offerings at Summit Point Raceway.

Attendees included commercial fleet managers, who got an up-close look at the vehicles during the walkaround demonstrations.

The VW Jetta Sportwagen offers 66.9 cubic feet of space with the rear seats folded flat.

Globally, Volkswagen Group’s goal is to sell more than 10 million units by 2018, with fleet sales making up 9.2 percent of total sales in North America.

The event started off with dinner at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum annex.

The VW Passat TDI features a 43 mpg highway fuel economy for the manual model and 40 mpg for the automatic model, and its interior (inset photo) features ample second-row legroom and can hold 15.9 cu. ft. of cargo.
