Ford Atlas Concept Pickup Truck

Ford's new Atlas Concept features a next-generation EcoBoost engine that uses direct injection and turbocharging.

The seat design provides extra legroom and storage for rear-seat passengers, according to Ford.

Inside the truck, the vehicle features "floating" instrument pods and buttons usable when wearing gloves.

The bed features LED lights for working at night, multiple integrated tie-down points, and 110-volt outlets.

In the back of the Atlas Concept, the truck has an extendable cargo cradle that allows the vehicle to haul long items without taking up space in the truck bed.

One new feature are active wheel shutters that close when the truck is at highway speeds to improve aerodynamics.

This photo shows the active wheel shutters in their open state, for example when the truck is at rest or moving at lower speeds.
