MaintenancePhotos 14January 9, 2026

During the 2025 Rush Enterprises Tech Skills Rodeo, technicians were challenged to isolate problems and make repairs on trucks that were bugged with issues by the judges. Although it was a timed-event competition, technicians needed to follow the proper steps and also be able to explain the process.

They competed in Medium-Duty Supplier Divisions or Heavy-Duty Supplier Divisions in which the truck, or bus, was bugged and contestants needed to determine the issue and make the repair.

Medium-Duty Supplier Divisions included:

  • Medium-Duty, Allison

  • Medium-Duty, Bus

  • Medium-Duty, Ford

  • Medium-Duty, Hino

  • Medium-Duty, Isuzu

  • Medium-Duty, International

  • Medium-Duty, Peterbilt

Heavy-Duty Supplier Divisions included:

  • Heavy-Duty, Alternative Fuels

  • Heavy-Duty, Vocational

  • Heavy-Duty, Cummins

  • Heavy- Duty Eaton

  • Heavy-Duty, IH Engine

  • Heavy-Duty, Paccar MX

Body shop technicians competed off-site in two divisions, and Rush also held a Rising Stars competition for technicians with less than two years of experience.
