A Testament to Resilience
Appalachian Utility recently faced a major setback when their fleet manager discovered that their utility vehicle had been broken into and all company fuel cards were stolen. This incident threatened to halt their critical operations during a storm recovery operation.
However, RoadFlex's swift response ensured that operations continued seamlessly. Within minutes of reporting the theft, RoadFlex deactivated the stolen cards, preventing any unauthorized transactions and mitigating potential financial losses.
To prevent any downtime, RoadFlex issued virtual cards compatible with Apple Pay and Google Pay, allowing Appalachian Utility's crews to access fuel and necessary supplies immediately. This ensured that their mission to restore power to disaster-affected communities remained on track. New physical cards were dispatched the next day, demonstrating RoadFlex's efficiency and dedication.
The partnership with RoadFlex extends beyond crisis management. By saving an average of 11% on fuel costs annually and offering prepaid accounts, RoadFlex has contributed to Appalachian Utility's financial stability needed for future growth. Their advanced fraud prevention measures and real-time support further reinforce the trust and reliability of this collaboration.
Telematics integration enables fleets, such as Appalachian Utility, to prevent fuel pumping if the vehicle and driver locations don't match the station's location.
