OPENLANE Expands Partnership with ARI with Online Remarketing Program Launch
MENLO PARK, CA – The new program enables dealers to ground and purchase ARI vehicles directly from OPENLANE online auction.
MENLO PARK, CA – OPENLANE, Inc., a North American wholesale vehicle online auction company, announced it has been selected by Automotive Resources International (ARI), a global fleet solutions provider specializing in complex car and truck fleets, to manage an online vehicle turn-in and sales program. By using OPENLANE's industry leading online auction (www.OPENLANE.com), ARI now has the ability to sell its inventory to dealers both from the turn-in dealership and while in transport, thus facilitating a faster and more efficient resale of ARI's fleet lease vehicles.
OPENLANE has been an online remarketing partner to ARI since 2001. Based on this longstanding relationship, OPENLANE is now providing ARI with another remarketing channel to streamline their process for grounding vehicles at dealerships and offering them for sale at an earlier point in the sales cycle.
Dealers can now use OPENLANE's online auction to immediately notify ARI when a vehicle is grounded, providing its current location and where it can then be prepared for sale. Once the vehicle has been inspected, it is incorporated into OPENLANE's wide selection of online inventory and made available for sale to thousands of dealers in the network, directly from the grounding dealership or while in transit.
"The value to us in time and cost savings alone is significant and will greatly impact the efficiency of our operations," said Bob Graham, director of vehicle remarketing, ARI. "ARI has been a valued partner to us for many years now and these new online programs represent a continued expansion of a longstanding relationship," said Clive Kinross, president, OPENLANE.
