World Energy Alternatives, LCC, a provider of biodiesel and ethanol, on March 16 launched a Web site packed with information about the alternative fuels industry as well as the company's product line. At www.worldenergy.net, fleet customers and the general public can access up-to-date information about biodiesel, learn about World Energy's CreditSwap! EPAct credit trading service, and even purchase biodiesel online, all at the click of a mouse, according to Gene Gebolys, president of World Energy. Gebolys said the Web site will allow visitors to browse technical specifications and applications in order to find out how simple alternative fuel integration has become for fleets of any size. "We view the Internet as an integral part of World Energy's sales and customer service plan," Gebolys said. "Because our fuels are renewable and can be used in any standard vehicle, we expect the convenience of online ordering to drive increased consumer demand." The site is divided into four principal sections: corporate information, product information, news, and resources. The Corporate Information section walks visitors through the company's history and logistics behind its products and delivery network. The Product Information section allows customers to view product specifications and performance characteristics, as well as to see specific operational capabilities. The guide also provides access to the biodiesel MSDS sheet. The News Center keeps visitors on top of company news, recent movement in the biofuels industry, and all news relating to health and environmental effects of vehicular emissions. World Energy welcomes visitor contributions to help keep the site as current and comprehensive as possible, according to Gebolys. The Resources section allows users to view major studies describing the positive qualities of biodiesel and ethanol. Visitors can also gain access to a wide variety of related websites in the Links section. About World Energy Alternatives World Energy bills itself as the nation's largest provider of alternative fueling solutions for federal, state, utility, transit, municipal and private vehicular fleets. By maintaining multiple production facilities and an extensive distribution network, World Energy has made its Envirodiesel(R) brand biodiesel into what it calls "America's least cost alternative to fossil fuel."
