The all-new 2002 Toyota Camry, which will ride on its first all-new platform in 10 years, made its U.S. debut on Aug. 27, and is available for a test drive, purchase or lease. To introduce the new vehicle to consumers, Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC is hosting the 2002 Toyota Camry Mall Tour during the month of September in 36 malls in Florida, Georgia, Alabama and North and South Carolina. In conjunction with Publix Super Markets Inc. and the Publix Premium Certified Beef Tailgate Tour, the new Toyota Camry will be on display at various sports events. The Tailgate Tour will travel to professional and college football games in Florida and Georgia to enhance the tailgating experience for the football fan audience. "This is the best Camry ever. Toyota has redefined what consumers should expect from a world-class, mid-sized sedan," said SET Vice President of Sales and Marketing Ed Sheehy. "The new, sleek styling, improved performance, and interior capacity combine with legendary Toyota quality to create a Camry with universal appeal. Current Camry owners, as well as people who have never before considered a Camry, will love this car." The CE grade has been eliminated, and a new SE grade has been added, offering a distinctly sportier style by integrating a sports grille, black headlamp masking, fog lamps, a rear spoiler and unique black pearl badging. With a manufacturer's suggested retail price as low as $18,970, one of Camry's most notable changes is the more spacious, open interior, which includes one and a half more inches of rear legroom. New colors include Phantom Gray Pearl, Black Walnut Pearl, Salsa Red Pearl, Desert Sand Mica, Aspen Green Pearl, Stratosphere Mica and Catalina Blue Metallic.
