InterGis, a developer of routing and scheduling solutions, has announced the availability of SelectRoute, a new Web-based system for companies in the business of moving people or products. SelectRoute distribution and management software enables companies to run their service and delivery operations from their existing browsers, simultaneously run multiple sites, and even run the system from the road with secure access, according to InterGis. The system, compatible with any major Web browser, routes, schedules, and tracks product shipments and deliveriess or service related activities. By optimizing the scheduling and routing operations, SelectRoute enables customers to cut costs on fuel and travel time by as much as 25 percent, while improving delivery efficiency and customer satisfaction, InterGis said in a press release. Providing up-to-date information regarding the location of resources, the system has the capability to inform customers of scheduled arrival times, according to InterGis. SelectRoute also performs resource management for representatives, vehicles, and workforce activities. The system reports planned vs. actual drive times, arrival times, and work times on a real-time and historical basis.
