Nextel Communications, Inc. and Dynamic Mobile Data Systems, Inc. announced Jan. 31 a co-marketing agreement to market MobileDispatch, a two-way wireless workforce management solution that enables time-sensitive communications and status tracking for companies dependent upon mobile workforce efficiency. Using Nextel Internet-ready phones, Nextel Wireless Web online services, and the Internet, MobileDispatch enables field personnel to communicate in real-time, virtually eliminating errors by hand-written orders, according to Dynamic Mobile Data.
MobileDispatch can now benefit from the combination of MobileDispatch and Nextel’s nationwide packet data network that provides a fleet management solution. Nextel data customers who already utilize Nextel’s four-in-one technology – digital cellular, Nextel Direct Connect two-way radio service text and numeric paging, and Wireless Web online services may now benefit from DMD’s MobileDispatch, according to the company.

Recently, DMD announced partnerships with route optimization providers InterGis and Mobile Wireless Technologies (MWT), to provide real-time, wireless routing and scheduling solutions that enable companies to respond to changing business demands.
