Advanced Tracking Technologies, Inc. (ATTI) has officially launched its Mobileyes(TM) vehicle tracking system for small to mid-size companies. The system comes with a lower price tag and without the burden of recurring monthly service fees, according to Paul M. Glass, president of ATTI. Mobileyes systematically reduces mobile fleet overhead by eliminating lost productivity while increasing fuel efficiency by as much as 30 percent, according to Glass, who cites customer reports to ATTI. According to Glass, questions such as "Did they arrive at the customer site on time?", "What time did the employee really clock out?" and "Where is the vehicle right now?" can be answered almost immediately. The Mobileyes system is built on a suite of independent components and system software to track vehicle location in real and historical time plus manage time sheet and data entry. The system consists of two main components, the Shadow Tracker(TM) and the Time Traveler(TM), plus the system software. The Shadow Tracker line of products features a GPS receiver that uses the satellite technology developed by the U.S. Department of Defense. The devices can pinpoint each vehicle in the fleet virtually anytime, anywhere, according to Glass, and are small enough to conceal from the driver if so desired. The Time Traveler is an onboard, hand-held keypad that serves as an employee time clock. It uses the atomic clocks of the satellites and the onboard GPS clock from the Shadow Tracker to make it one of the most accurate mobile time clocks in the world today. Designed for easy installation on Windows operating systems, the Mobileyes system software can provide a wide range of historical data, from length of time at each stop and number of stops, to actual routes taken, including street names. Data is downloaded onto the company's computer system and can be viewed onscreen, printed as reports, or imported into the company's payroll or MRP software. The complete system eliminates the high cost and hassles of paper timesheets, timesheet fraud and identifies unauthorized use of vehicles, according to Glass. Drivers' routes are displayed over a detailed street map for quick assessment. Complete mileage records can be printed for more detailed evaluation. "With Mobileyes, our customers see improved productivity and significantly reduced costs, giving managers better control over a wide range of issues," Glass said. "The system will almost always pay for itself in just a few weeks or months through lower fuel cost, reduced overtime and increased productivity." ATTI offers several products to meet the needs of the service industry with fleets of five to 50 vehicles as well as local and state government with fleets in excess of 1,000 vehicles.
