2016 Honda Pilot SUV Sheds 300 Pounds
Honda introduced its redesigned 2016 Pilot mid-size SUV at the Chicago Auto Show that will get additional safety features and amenities from the prior model.

Honda introduced its redesigned 2016 Pilot mid-size SUV at the Chicago Auto Show that will get additional safety features and amenities from the prior model. Honda has reduced the weight of the vehicle by about 300 pounds.
For the 2016 model year, the three-row SUV enters its third generation with a more modern, sleek design.
The vehicle gets a new suite of safety technologies known as Honda Sensing that includes LaneWatch display, blind spot indicators, a standard multiple-angle rear-view camera, and available collision mitigation braking system, lane departure warning forward collision warning, lane keeping assist system, rear cross traffic monitor, adaptive cruise control and a road departure mitigation system.
In the cabin, the Pilot's new 8-inch capacitive touchscreen Display Audio telematics interface is powered by a new Android-based operating system and more powerful processor, along with an available new embedded Honda Satellite-Linked navigation system. The new navigation system features improved graphics and new capabilities, including 3D renderings of terrain, buildings and road signs, improved lane guidance, live search function, and 911 emergency services.
The 2016 Pilot will be available at Honda dealerships in the summer.
