General Motors has begun shipping its 2015 Chevrolet City Express compact cargo van to dealers as it enters one of the most active commercial vehicle segments with a product that's sourced from Nissan's NV200.
The City Express carries a starting price of $22,950, and has been added to GM's Business Choice program that's geared toward smaller fleets and owner operators. Members of the program can qualify for a $350 upfit allowance by purchasing the compact van. Chevrolet is also offering ship-thru service, which sends the vehicle directly to an upfitter from the assembly plant. Once configured, the van is sent to a local dealer.
The City Express is covered by Chevrolet Complete Care, which includes scheduled maintenance for two years or 24,000 miles, five years/100,000 miles of 24-hour roadside assistance, and courtesy transportation. The van arrives with GM's three-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty.
“Our existing customers will love getting behind the wheel of the City Express when it’s at their Chevrolet dealership,” said Ed Peper, U.S. vice president for GM Fleet & Commercial. “But we’re most looking forward to giving potential new customers the opportunity to experience one of many Chevrolet commercial vehicles that best fit their needs.”
