Penray has introduced its new Pencool 4000 cooling system treatment for extended life coolants for use in commercial vehicles.
The formulation adds benefits to ELCs used in commercial vehicles and equipment, providing corrosion protection and extending the service life of the coolant. This can increase uptime, reduce maintenance costs and extend the life of a vehicle by reducing engine wear, according to Penray.
Pencool 4000 is nitrite-free and provides protection to metals typically wetted by coolant, including steel, cast iron, copper and aluminum. It protects against rust and corrosion common in cooling systems, extending radiator life. The product contains additives that protect against wet sleeve liner pitting, reducing long term maintenance costs. It also helps reduce cavitation erosion, which can compromise cooling system efficiency and cause hot spots resulting in engine damage.
Pencool 4000 is suited to over-the-road trucks and local delivery vehicles as well as mobile off-highway vehicles and construction equipment. Pencool 4000 is supplied in 16-ounce bottles, as well as in 5-gallon pails and 55-gallon drums.
