A new partnership between Anthony Liftgates, Inc. and eNow, Inc. offers truck owners and operators the option of solar power battery charging to ensure that their liftgate batteries are always topped off and ready to go. The innovative solar charging system addresses the tendency for liftgate batteries to run out of power during a delivery cycle. The resulting loss of liftgate function can have a negative impact on operations and bottom line.

"We are pleased to be able to offer Anthony Liftgates customers this solar innovation to enhance performance and improve bottom line," said Tom Walker, President of Anthony Liftgates. "eNow share's our company's focus on quality, dependability and value, and we welcome them as a partner," Walker said.

"As the industry leader and innovator in liftgates, Anthony is a natural partner to help us demonstrate the value and simplicity of eNow's Solar Battery Charger," eNow founder and CEO Jeff Flath said.

The 100 Watt eCharge Solar Battery Charger is easily installed on any vehicle with a liftgate. Tests have shown that the system keeps batteries at or near a fully charged state throughout the delivery cycle. Since batteries are never left in a discharged or partially charged state, battery life is extended from 1-4 years depending on battery type. Payback is estimated at 1 year or less.

The announcement with Anthony Liftgates, Inc. builds on eNow's expanding marketing alliances in the transportation industry. Earlier this year eNow announced partnerships with Bergstrom, Inc., Mitsubishi Fuso of North America, and Hercules Manufacturing, Inc. eNow's solar-based auxiliary power systems are specifically designed for the transportation industry, including medium and heavy-duty trucks, commercial buses, school buses and military vehicles. The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has approved the use of eNow's solar-powered auxiliary power system on heavy-duty diesel fueled vehicles.
