AEP Ohio Transmission Company began maintenance on the Kammer-Dumont transmission line located in Delaware County. Work began in the western portion of the county, and crews will work eastward over the next few weeks. The work utilizes a specially-equipped helicopter which allows the line to remain energized while crews perform the maintenance. No customer outages are expected as a result of this project.

Nearly 18,000 spacers along more than 250 miles of line, stretching to West Virginia, will be replaced when the project is completed this fall. At 765 kilovolts, the Kammer-Dumont line is one of the highest voltage transmission lines operating in the nation.
