First Look at Kenworth’s Extreme Duty C580

Alex Reid, Kenworth’s vocational marketing manager, gives Work Truck an introductory look at the new Kenworth C580, an evolution of the company’s extreme-duty off-road trucks. 

The C580 features a lightweight, durable cab with enhanced driver amenities, including ergonomic controls and a 15-inch digital display. It offers integration with bodybuilder accessories and maintains the legendary durability of the C500. 

In North America, the C580 is standard with EPA-compliant Cummins X15 engines, with ratings up to 605 horsepower and 2,050 lb.-ft. of torque. Additional Cummins X15 engines are available with several levels of Euro emissions compliance for export to international markets.
