Phillips Connect has assembled four IoT: Internet of Trailers kits, allowing fleets of all sizes to convert to Smart-Trailers seamlessly.

Smart-Trailer technology enables real-time diagnostics, fault detection, and trend reporting - increasing transparency and maximizing efficiency.

Jim Epler, executive vice president at Phillips Connect, has spent over a decade studying some of the largest fleets in North America to “future-proofing” their operations by equipping them with innovative tech products and telematics.

As a result of that work, Phillips Connect has identified four Smart-Trailer kits designed to increase:

Saving Fleet Money

Each kit has an average payback of 12 months and an average ROI of 500% after ten years. Phillips Connect Smart-Trailer kits save fleets money fast.

Tires are one of the highest expenses for a fleet.

The Phillips Connect Smart upgrade kit includes TPMS and installs in just 30 minutes, saving costs and allowing fleets to monitor their tire health, preventing early replacement and downtime.

The Phillips Connect Smarter Kit features the hidden/under-trailer installed StealthNet gateway to avoid theft with TPMS√, ABS Fault Code√, Door√ , and CargoVision to give fleets extra monitoring capabilities and can be installed in under one hour.

Understand your fleet from the inside out with the Phillips Connect Smartest Kit with StealthNet gateway, CAN communication, TPMS√, ABS Fault Code√, Door√, CargoVision, and ATIS Lamp√.  It can also be installed in just one hour.

The Phillips Connect Brilliant Kit enhances fleet operations to the fullest, featuring an array of sensors and data providing a complete picture of a trailer’s health.

Trailer Maintenance for Every Fleet

  • Tires are one of the highest trailer maintenance expenses for fleets. The ability to monitor tire pressures remotely allows our customers to stay on top of tire health before costs add up from downtime, roadside service, and early replacement.
  • Brake system faults are most fleets' highest cause of out-of-service violations. Monitoring brake faults lets fleets avoid dispatching drivers to trailers that need maintenance before they can return to service.
  • Fleets that use Automatic Tire Inflation Systems (ATIS) rely on those systems to keep their tires properly inflated. Remote ATIS monitoring ensures that fleet maintenance managers can proactively dispatch technicians to trailers that need tire service, while continuing to monitor the other trailers in their fleet that need attention.
  • Check your trailers’ condition remotely, anywhere, and anytime with Phillips Connect’s Remote Pre√ feature. It provides customers with on-demand trailer health and cargo updates. Fleets can see which trailers are healthy versus unhealthy and at the same time which trailers are loaded or empty. This combined view of trailer health and trailer utilization lets our customers maximize driver productivity by avoiding the hours lost driving to trailers that are not ready to move.

Like all Phillips Connect products, the IoT kits communicate to its Connect1 platform that provides complete fleet analytics in real-time with easy reporting, on-demand notifications, historical trends to assist with maintenance schedules and predictive analysis, geo-fencing, and customization for each fleet’s individual needs.
