Grote Industries, a high-performance LED lighting technology company, announced that its new 61291 LED WhiteLight Recessed-Mount Dome Lamp is in stock and shipping. Grote engineered this lamp as an intelligent alternative to fluorescent lamps, particularly for refrigerated environments with subzero temperatures.

61291 LED WhiteLight Recessed-Mount Dome Lamp

Grote was the first in the industry to introduce a fluorescent lamp with a low-temperature startup mechanism, according to the manufacturer. Grote's innovation made fluorescent lamps more versatile, and in the ensuing years, the lamps have continued to gain popularity in cold-climate applications because they offer superior illumination and power consumption characteristics in comparison to incandescent lamps.

Though fluorescent lamps can operate at temperatures as low as zero degrees Fahrenheit, today's refrigerated environments can challenge lamps to provide illumination in temperatures as low as -40 degrees Fahrenheit. Grote's new 61291 provides users with consistent operating performance and lighting quality even in subzero temperatures.   Grote saw a way to use its advanced LED WhiteLight technology to provide the industry with a viable and equally dependable alternative to fluorescent lamps. The lamp delivers a widespread optic pattern that provides wall-to-wall lighting coverage. The company believes its new 61291 LED WhiteLight Recessed-Mount Dome Lamp is particularly well suited for refrigerated applications and those where fluorescent lamps could be subjected to impact or concussion.

The 61291 LED WhiteLight Recessed-Mount Dome Lamp is constructed of a robust, one-piece, powder-coated aluminum housing with a removable polycarbonate lens. It has a built-in thermal protection device and operates at temperatures ranging from 122 degrees Fahrenheit to -40 degrees Fahrenheit.

The lamp's six, high-output diodes generate approximately 1,000 lumens of light output, comparable to that of fluorescent lamps, but draw only about 63 percent of the amperage. The 61291 features a protected, solid-state circuit board and, unlike a fluorescent lamp, has no ballast or bulb to fail. The new six-diode lamp is as easy to install as Grote's 10- and 18-diode models.

Proper lighting helps increase vehicle and workforce productivity by helping those working in, on and around vehicles see the work at hand, recognize hazards, reduce ocular strain and discomfort and assume a natural working posture that might not be possible under poor lighting conditions.   Details, specifications and operation information for Grote's entire family of LED WhiteLight Dome Lamps are available at www.grote.com.
