PIAA Corporation USA has introduced the new PIAA 530 LED Fog Lamp Kit that features the beam control of a halogen lamp with the low power consumption and durability of an LED lamp.
The new PIAA 530 LED (Light Emitting Diode) Fog Lamp kit delivers critical advantages over its halogen counterparts: very low power consumption, compact size, and durability, all key elements of fog lamp performance.
In addition to utilizing advanced LED technology, the PIAA 530 LED lamps incorporate several design improvements over other LED lamps currently on the market. Unlike standard LED lamps that aim the bulb straight out forward, the PIAA 530 LED lamp aims its LEDs at the reflector. This new orientation of the light source allows for far better beam control and output than the conventional layout.
Moreover, PIAA combines its high output LEDs - two 3 watt LEDs that produce a brilliant 6000-Kelvin white beam - with a computer-designed, multi-surface reflector that gives a true high-performance fog pattern in a lightweight, durable lamp. And it requires a fraction of the power used by a comparable halogen lamp, according to the company.
With the included universal mounting bracket and compact size, the PIAA 530 LED lamps are suitable for many factory car, truck and SUV fog lamp openings. The PIAA 530 LED Fog Lamp measures 3.5-inches in diameter, with a 3-inch depth. The complete lamp kit - P/N Depth 5370 - includes two lamps, wiring harness, relay, and switch. MSRP is $279.99.
