The Dyersburg Electric Power Board, Tenn., approved the purchase of a new 55-ft. bucket truck from Altec at a recent meeting. Including the trade-in of its 2000-year model, the net bid for the truck was just over $220,000, reports the State Gazette.

Board members expressed concern about the vendor. The board approved purchasing another bucket truck from Altec in 2015, and delivery took almost a full year. This new truck was quoted with a 300-day delivery, similar to the last purchase, which would mean keeping the 2000-year model in service for another year.
