Ford provided details on the EPA-certified fuel economy figures for its different Fusion models, including the Fusion Hybrid, its 1.6L and 2.0L EcoBoost-powered models, and its 2.5L model.
The automaker noted that its 2013-MY Fusion Hybrid will get an EPA-certified 47 mpg city, 47 mpg highway and 47 mpg combined.
The numbers for each powertrain is as follows:
- Fusion Hybrid: 47 mpg city, 47 mpg highway, 47 mpg combined
- 1.6L EcoBoost: 25 mpg city, 37 mpg highway, 29 mpg combined
- 2.0L EcoBoost: 22 mpg city, 33 mpg highway, 26 mpg combined
- 2.5L 22 mpg city, 34 mpg highway, 26 mpg combined
Ford stated that the Fusion is also available with auto start-stop, which automatically shuts off the engine when the vehicle is idling and boosts fuel economy by up to 3.5%.
