Thousands of dollars’ worth of specialized utility equipment was stolen near Colfax, N.D., just before the new year. According to Inforum, a for Cass County Electric Cooperative work truck got stuck in the snow, where the crew left it. Two days later, they returned and discovered the missing equipment.

A representative from the utility told Inforum that the equipment is specialized for utility use, and not useful to anyone else, but it comes with a high price tag — the company will have to pay $10,000 to replace the missing equipment, but this is not expected to set crews back in work.
