FreightWaves, a world freight news and data provider, announced “FreightWaves Radio,” a live, weekly call-in show for navigating the freight markets that will broadcast exclusively on SiriusXM.

Through a partnership with SiriusXM’s Road Dog Trucking Radio channel 146, FreightWaves market experts will share business insights and behind-the-scenes intelligence gained from its global network of reporters and freight market data tools.

“Beholden to no one and drawing from a deep reservoir of tribal knowledge, FreightWaves will boldly go where others fear to tread,” said Craig Fuller, founder and CEO of the Chattanooga-based FreightWaves.”

SiriusXM’s “FreightWaves Radio” will dive into the rise of technology, the flow of money and how the economy is impacting the trucking industry over the short and long-term. Topics will range from driver issues and truck technology, to economic drivers impacting freight volumes, rates, and seasonal surges in movements. The live show will also bring perspective on the economic health of transport companies, and the climate of venture investing in trucking and logistics.

“FreightWaves Radio” will air every Saturday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. EST on SiriusXM’s Road Dog Trucking Radio channel 146 beginning on February 23, 2019.

FreightWaves is an independent, data-driven startup known for bringing transparency and disruption to the once stagnant and opaque freight markets. The company has unparalleled access to data across the freight markets, which provides insights to the underlying conditions of nearly everything going on in freight.

“FreightWaves continues to transform the way we think about freight markets because of its exclusive position as an independent voice for transparency, exposing the way things really work, explaining why they work that way, and then spinning it forward into actionable insights,” Fuller said.

Hosts Chad Prevost and John Kingston will provide real-time insights to SiriusXM’s Road Dog listeners, distilling the freight industry’s seismic changes and challenges into an easily digestible format.

Prevost, a freight analyst and executive producer for multimedia at FreightWaves, also co-hosts FreightWaves’ weekly “What the Truck?!?” podcast, which takes a lighthearted look at the week’s top stories alongside deeper dives into specific topic areas. Kingston, an oil market expert and editor at large for FreightWaves, brings years of expertise covering markets ranging from petroleum to Wall Street.

“Literally, you can take our data and analysis and bring that to the table for your plans and organizational strategies in the coming week,” Prevost said. “We’re ready to bring our fun and casual approach to some of the highest-level critical thinking the industry offers.”

FreightWaves can also bring huge resources to bear on any area of interest, employing many of the top experts across every segment of the industry to help drive its insights, Kingston said.
