The Arizona Department of Transportation's Motor Vehicle Division has approved the use of digital license plates, which will allow Reviver Auto to offer its Rplate to commercial and government fleets in the state.
At the end of 2018, Michigan also approved the use of digital license plates. Reviver's Rplate is an LTE-enabled, wireless connected plate that's similar to a tablet that replaces the traditional stamped metal plate. It displays the license number, as well as messages such as "invalid," "stolen," or other messages.
Arizona's Department of Public Safety, which employs highway patrol officers, also reviewed the technology prior to its approval.
The state is offering the plates through its offices or authorized third-party resellers, which include dealerships and auto service providers. The plates can be purchased directly from Reviver Auto.
