Ian McKerlich has taken over as president and CEO of Zonar Systems as the successor to co-founder Brett Brinton, the company announced.

McKerlich has been serving as president of the company. The change was part of a planned leadership transition after Continental AG took a majority stake in the company. Brinton will remain with the organization as a strategic advisor.

Zonar has also promoted Larry Jordan to senior vice president of product management. Jordan is responsible for managing Zonar products across their lifecycle, including the Zonar Connect tablet and platform announced in October.

The company has also hired Arun Jacob as vice president of software development and Chad Maglaque as vice president of program and partner management. Jacob brings experience from roles with Hewlett-Packard, Walt Disney Company,, and Vulcan. Maglaque joins Zonar with over 20 years of experience managing large-scale products and services for both fast-paced start-ups as well as Fortune 100 companies, including Apple, Microsoft, Walmart Labs, Macy's and Internet-pioneer RealNetworks.
