Ford has announced horsepower and torque ratings for the trio of engines available on the redesigned 2015 Mustang.
At the top performance level, the 2015 Mustang GT powered by a 5.0L V-8 will achieve 435 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque. The vehicle has an improved power-to-weight ratio over the 2014 model.
Ford will also offer a 2.3L EcoBoost four cylinder that will be available in Europe and a 3.7L V-6. By using turbocharging and direct injection, the EcoBoost will generate 310 horsepower and 320 lb.-ft. of torque. The V-6 will provide 300 hp. The geometry of the EcoBoost intake manifold and turbocharger housing has been optimized to provide better breathing and higher output in Mustang, according to Ford.
