In this post-pandemic world of lingering supply chain issues and rising costs, vehicle maintenance is a major pain point — particularly for mission-critical delivery fleet operations.

A seminar at DeliveryCon, taking place Oct. 16-18 in Las Vegas, will help tackle these challenges.

Why Streamlining Preventing Maintenance Matters

In the seminar, “Maintenance from the Trenches — How to Streamline PM & Save Cash,” two maintenance experts will reveal a range of time- and money-saving tips, including how to communicate with your mechanic, stock and manage parts, order parts from dealers, and prep the vehicle before sending it in for service. The panelists will also share a simple, effective system for parts organization to share with your mechanic.

Attendees will also learn how to prioritize maintenance issues by assigning them values — critical, high, medium, and low — which will help fleet managers and technicians better plan repairs and maintenance.

The panel will be led by Kevin Kell, a master technician, and Shay Misra, product marketing manager at Fleetio

Kell is the owner operator of Fleet Repair Services in Charleston, South Carolina. A senior master Ford-certified technician with 25 years of experience, Kell primarily services last-mile delivery vans, step vans, and cab chassis trucks with delivery bodies.

Misra aligns product, sales, marketing, and customer success efforts for Fleetio, a provider of fleet management software.  She advocates for customers before, during, and after product launches to drive sales. With experience in HR, Legal, and Compliance SaaS technology, Misra holds a marketing degree from Kansas State University and completed post-graduate work at Stanford.

“The biggest struggle right now, it’s a little bit of everything,” says Kell. “You take a lack of parts plus the lack of technicians, and it can be a disaster to get vehicles back on the road in a timely manner. We’ll give you guidance in this seminar to avoid these problems and get your trucks back on the road quicker.”

The seminar will take place Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 3:45pm.
