The final Peterbilt Model 389 ever produced was auctioned to benefit Truckers Against Trafficking and Wreaths Across America during an event in February. During the Mid-America Trucking Show more recently, Rush Truck Centers and Peterbilt donated a combined $1.5 million to the two charities.
The museum on wheels will travel across America to help honor local veterans and teach the community.
The annual donation is now in its seventh year and will help WAA in its mission to honor fallen military services members across the U.S. with wreath-laying ceremonies this December.
Sherri Garner Brumbaugh, president and CEO of Garner Trucking Inc. and vice chairman of the American Trucking Association (ATA), has donated the use of patriotic, custom-painted Freightliner trucks and their drivers to volunteer with Wreaths Across America for five years.
Pam Transport has sent four military-themed custom wrapped Peterbilt trucks to deliver wreaths to the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
For the eighth consecutive year, Omnitracs has pledged $25,000 towards the purchase of 2,500 wreaths to be laid on the graves of our nation’s veterans.
