2018 Truck Fuel Prices, Taxes & Consumption

Among the findings related to fuel :

The price of crude oil in 2018 increased over 2017, with regular gasoline increasing 10% and diesel only seeing an increase of 1%, according to the DOE's cost breakdown.
According to the U.S. Department of Energy, only four countries have lower fuel taxes than the United States: Mexico. Russia, Indonesia, and Brazil.
Phase 2 of the heavy-duty truck greenhouse gas emissions and fuel efficiency standards mandated by the EPA and NHTSA are projected to lower CO2 emissions by approximately 1.1 billion metric tons.
