MORRIS, IL – The American Truck Historical Society Historic Highway Convoy took to Route 66 on Sept. 7. The convoy will travel the historic “mother road” from Illinois to California from Sept. 7 until reaching its end in San Bernadino, Calif., on Sept. 15.

In conjunction with Travel Centers of America, celebrating its 40th Anniversary, daily truck shows take place from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at T/A or Petro truck stops at each of the nine stops along the route: Morris, Ill.; Troy, Ill.; Joplin, Mo.; Oklahoma City, Okla.; Amarillo, Texas; Albuquerque, N.M.; Gallup, N.M.; Kingman, Ariz.; and Barstow, Calif. Convoy vehicles will arrive around 4 p.m. to conclude with an expanded truck show. The convoy will make its final stop on September 15 in conjunction with the Route 66 Rendezvous, the annual automotive event held in San Bernardino, CA.
