OSHKOSH, WI - Oshkosh Corp., a Wisconsin-based maker of military trucks, won a contract valued at as much as $1.12 billion to provide support services for heavy- and medium- duty trucks used by the U.S.government.

The Defense Logistics Agency awarded the contract and work will be performed through Dec. 31, 2009, the Defense Department said. The services will be used by military and civilian agencies.

The contract for support services follows Oshkosh’s October win of a $1.2 billion, three-year order from the Army for heavy-duty trucks. Its Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Trucks, introduced in 1985, have been used by the U.S. military in the Persian Gulf War and the Iraq War.
