TORONTO – Truckers shouldn’t expect a huge over-supply as seen a few years ago, but the used-truck lots may be filling up again, according Today’s Trucking magazine. However, they’re emptying even faster, at least in some parts of the country.

“Glut would be an exaggeration, but we are moving from a period of very tight supply to more normal conditions,” said Freightliner LLC president and CEO Chris Patterson, as quoted by Today’s Trucking. “Freight is not so abundant, and a lot of new equipment has entered the customers’ fleets. Plus, the normal three-to-four-year trade cycle is putting us into years when more new trucks were produced.”
