Kustom Cooling Products, LLC., (KCP), a Total Thermal Management Solution company announces the release of a 100-percent Aluminum Radiator and A/C Condenser line. The KCP line of radiators and a/c condensers are the best quality, most reliable heavy duty products that have ever been offered for 2007 and newer EPA engines. The first line of trucks KCP tackled was the extremely problematic Freightliner Cascadia followed up with the Columbia and Century. By mid 2012 KCP will be adding the Volvo VN, International Pro-Star, and Mack Vision model trucks to their cooling products lineup. KCP is the only company in the nation to offer 100% aluminum aftermarket replacement radiators and a/c condensers specifically targeting 2007 and newer platform engines.

The KCP Radiators and A/C Condensers were tested and have been successfully operating on select fleets in the southwest for the last three years. The proto-typing of those applications has gone extremely well, so well that the KCP products have over 400,000 miles traveled in the field. The KCP radiators and a/c condensers are far superior to the OEM or aftermarket options and will truly be the last replacement you will ever buy.

The KCP Radiators and A/C Condensers are 100-percent aluminum including the core, side supports, and tanks. The core utilizes a fully patented wavy style fin built in a bar and plate configuration. The result is a lightweight, extremely durable, high quality product that you can count on for reliability. The all aluminum configuration has several advantages over plastic tank or copper brass replacement. The efficiency and durability are second to none. The design flexibility as a result of working with only one type of metal eliminates the pesky tube to header joint failures. Aluminum allows much higher operating temperatures and since the tubes themselves are thicker than OE, it allows for better thermal stress, vibration and shock absorption.

"The #1 failure on current production Freightliner fleet trucks is the radiator and a/c condensers. Plastic tanks are intended for automotive applications, not Heavy Duty Trucks. When the typical fleet is replacing these items every 100,000 - 150,000 miles and the only aftermarket option is copper/brass, there is a huge void KCP is happy to fill" said KustomTM Cooling Products CEO Harold Bettencourt. He added, "We're pleased to provide a solution that solves the radiator and a/c condenser issues on 2007 and newer platform engines for the major truck OEM's."

The KCP wavy style fin design that the core utilizes is the same for both the Radiator and A/C condenser. The wavy fin design has several advantages over both a straight fin and louvered fin configuration. The surface area is increased for significantly greater cooling capacity and the smooth fins greatly reduce clogging due to debris and allows for easy maintenance. With an increased contact area of the fin to plate, the overall strength of the core is also increased and provides more uniform control of thermal expansion. The fins are much stronger and less susceptible to bending or laying over and the wavy fin design promotes slower airflow across the cooling core for better cooling efficiency.
