INDIANAPOLIS - Firestone Industrial Products Company, LLC's Work-Rite suspension solution is now available for a comprehensive list of Chevrolet, GMC, Dodge, Ford, and Nissan pickup trucks, commercial vehicles, and vans, including the 2009 Dodge Ram 1500, Ford F-Series and Nissan Titan.
Work-Rite is an entry-level load management system featuring micro-cellular urethane load assist springs that are mounted to the vehicle's frame to supplement the factory suspension. The progressive load-deflection characteristics enable the Work-Rite load assist springs to absorb road shock, support weight and improve ride comfort for loaded vehicles. When the vehicle is unloaded, Work-Rite won't compromise the ride.
The Work-Rite springs are offered in three densities that provide three separate spring-rates identified by color - white for 1/2-ton trucks, gray for 3/4-ton trucks and black for 1-ton trucks. They are available in two heights, 3.7 inches and 5.2 inches, so users can select the proper spring for their application. A complete list of applications is available by vehicle at www.ride-rite.com.
"With six separate spring-and-stiffness combinations, our Work-Rite system is not a one-size-fits-all solution," said Todd Green, regional sales manager, Firestone Industrial Products, Ride-Rite(tm) division. "It is designed to eliminate spring sag, increase vehicle stability and prevent bottoming out. And because there is no air pressure to monitor, the system works well for fleets and constant-load applications where a maintenance-free solution is desired."
Most Work-Rite kits offer a no-drill design and can be adjusted by the end user for their specific loading scenario using spacers provided in the kit.
The kit includes load assist springs, brackets, comprehensive instructions and all necessary mounting hardware for an easy installation that requires basic hand tools and takes less than an hour.
Work-Rite load assist springs do not increase the load-carrying capacity of the vehicle. Do not exceed the vehicle's recommended Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR).
Trained technicians are available toll-free (800.888.0650) to answer any product application, installation or warranty questions Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST.
